Wardrobe saviours

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all having a great day so far!

In recent weeks I've been more focused on wardrobe staples and this post includes again some of my wardrobe saviours.

I hardly ever used to wear all black outfits but I really have to agree with the saying: "If you don't know what to wear, wear black".

This is the reason why a black blazer and black skinny jeans are my ultimate wardrobe staples and the striped tee just makes the look seem a little more 'effortlessly chic'.

When wearing all black I find it very important, not to forget about the accessories.

I've added my Ash Gang Booties and leopard print clutch to lighten up the look.

Hair and Skin Care Staples

hair care favourites, show beauty review, hair oil, show beauty hair oil, show beauty dry shampoo
Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are all having a great weekend!

With London Fashion Week less than a week to go I thought today was the perfect day to pamper myself and just taking it easy.

I'd like to share with you some of my current hair and skin care favourites.

With winter still being in full swing I find it even harder to make your hair look glossy and skin glowing.

I'm not one to use a lot of hair products and I'm also not very good at styling my hair so I'm super happy with my Show Beauty 'Pure treatment oil. I've been using it for a month now and it's safe to say that my hair has become much more healthy and I love the smell of the product.

I probably wouldn't spend that much on a shampoo or conditioner (as you anyway rinse it all out again) but using the right hair oil can make all the difference to your hair.

Another hair care staple of mine is dry shampoo, I mean who doesn't like a little volume to their hair. Aside from the sleek black packing this Show beauty dry shampoo has a powdered, lighter spray which means it doesn't leave your hair heavy which is a big plus in my books. On top of that it's colourless, meaning that even if you are in a hurry none can tell that you are using it.

I've been looking for quite a while for a facial cream that doesn't feature mineral oils or other petrol-chemicals and still leaves my skin nourished.

During my search I discovered Omorovicza  and their amazing Gold Rescue Cream, which leaves my combination skin nourished without being too heavy.

The cream is powered by a potent thermal-water-in-oil barrie formulation that protects and repairs the skin for a rejuvenated and glowing complexion.

I've been using this cream now for 3 weeks and I can really notice how much more nourished my skin feels.

I've recently started to introduce eye cream into my night time routine and finding the right one is not as easy as I thought. Some creams rather dry my eye area whereas other creams make my eyes well up as soon as the cream reaches my eye area.

I've tried the Omorovicza gold eye lift cream for a couple of weeks now and none of this was the case. The cream feels really light and I've been waking up to a smooth eye area.

Gigi's Mayfair

Gigi's mayfair restaurant blog review, lonodn dining, london restaurants, italian restaurant london
Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend!

We braved the crowds of Oxford Street this Saturday for a spree of shopping and knew we wanted a relaxed spot of lunch.

Gigi's Mayfair restaurant is just a few minutes away from Bond Street station, tucked away in a little side alley.

I really like the decor at Gigi's, sophisticated and elegant without being stuffy.

The bread basket arrived with Sardinian bread, spicy grissini (bread sticks) and little rolls flavoured with squid ink and parsley. One of the best bread baskets I had.
Soon after came the starters. I went for the slated baked root vegetables with ricotta cheese.  Which not only was beautifully presented but also very tasty.
gigi's mayfair rosted octupus starter review
My boyfriend went for the roasted octopus with a rich onion broth and barlotti beans. The octopus was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The soft beans and the broth made for a perfect winter warmer.
gigi's mayfair tagliolini tarufo food review
As a main we went for the Tagliolini Tartufo.
The homemade pasta came in a rich and creamy sauce and the black truffle shavings added a zingy flavor to the dish. I really love my pasta and this dish was just amazing.
And finally for dessert we went for the Chocolate Mondrian and their signature Tiramisu.
gigi's mayfair chocolate mondrian food review, gigi's mayfair dessert review
Both desserts were beautifully presented. The Chocolate Mondrian's base was a lovely chocolate sponge topped with a thin layer of milk chocolate crust, caramel and white chocolate bars.

The Tiramisu was served in a very unique, deconstructed way.
All ingredients were separately stacked on the plate and  when each element was piled on to my fork it made the perfect combination.

We thought the food at Gigi's was delicious and very innovative and we will certainly be back. So next time you need a break from London's  hustle and bustle, take a little detour to this hidden gem.

It also makes for the perfect venue for Valentines Day.

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you had a great week!

This is another one of my go-to outfits when running around town heading from one meeting to another.

I like to stick to some classics like my trusted croco chain bag and leather leggings and to smarten up the look I've added my new camel coat.

Judging by the current temperatures, spring seems still so far away but I already have my eye on this gorgeous camel trench coat (as one really can't have too many camel coats, right?!)

Happy weekend everyone and stay warm x
